My Story
I have always loved fine fabrics, antique textiles, texture and color. Creating art-to-wear handbags and clothing for over 30 years has been my passion and livelihood. After 28 years selling at the national juried art shows and fine craft galleries, I have moved my studio back home and I am now creating small collections of one of a kind pieces. A fabulous trip to Japan in 2014 and our winter home in Mexico provides me with ongoing inspiration and textiles.
My Austrian grandfather, William Halb, was a designer and tailor of women's clothing. My memories of dress forms, Parisian silks and pattern drafting tools are still with me. I feel his inspiration, attention to detail and passion for his craft running through me.
